About the art: Magenta Wildflower began as a mono-print. I rolled out black paint on a handmade gel plate, laid a pressed flower over the wet paint, then rubbed a sheet of Japanese rice paper over the top. Once dry, it was photographed then refined and colored in Photoshop. I love the organic shapes of the flowers, the golden dots in the corner, the contrast between the black and magenta.
